New Query Workshop for Writers
Create a Query Submission Package that Wows!
As a writer, you’ve likely spent a lot of time perfecting your craft and shaping your novel or memoir. When it comes to securing agent representation or finding a publishing home for your work, you’ll want to be equally driven to be sure your query submission package has what it takes to capture the attention of industry professionals.
I’d like to help. As a writer who has published fiction and nonfiction, and helped countless writers to place their work in traditional publishers, small presses, and with hybrid companies, I’ve developed a strategy for submitting your best pitch.
In You’ve Written a Book: Now What? I’ll show how to assess your manuscript to be sure you are ready to query, and amidst a small group of writers with similar goals, you will learn what makes a pitch stand out to readers of all kinds.
At the end of the six week virtual program, you’ll have:
1) a clear sense of where your book fits in the current publishing landscape
2) a perfected one-liner describing your book
3) individualized feedback on your query letter
4) two comparable titles specific to your book that will pique agent/editor interest
5) a completed agent/editor outreach template to begin querying strategically when you’re ready
6) individualized attention and peer support
7) a free e-book that includes all course materials.
